If you’re in high school, chances are Northern Kentucky University will be contacting you. NKU is spending $600,000 over two years to hire an outside company to reach out to sophomores, juniors and high schools throughout its primary recruitment markets, through e-mail, mobile applications and traditional direct mail. The program comes as NKU lost a bit of enrollment this year, with the freshman class down about 185 students and overall enrollment at 15,723, down from 15,816 in fall 2011.
