The United States Equestrian Federation reaffirmed Monday the Kentucky Horse Park will serve as their National Headquarters. A building will be constructed on the Horse Park’s property to house the headquarters permanently.
The letter of intent, signed by both parties and presented by Kentucky’s Tourism, Arts, and Heritage Cabinet begins a 40 year lease at the horse park for the US Equestrian Federation.
Kentucky Horse Park Executive Director Laura Prewitt says she’s proud USEF has chosen to stay on the property and build the three-story national headquarters there.
“You know, our partnership has continued to be strong and that when they were investigating their options and whether to build, you know we have this place available for them, and that’s where we have taken off to,” said Prewitt.
Chief Executive Officer of the USEF Bill Moroney said they are pleased to responsibly serve their members, bring the joy of horse sports to the area, and keep Kentucky’s equine heritage strong. Construction of the 35,000 square foot building will begin in the fall of 20-17. I’m Marisa Hempel in Richmond.”
