Flu Cases on the Rise in Kentucky

Across the state, flu activity has increased from regional to widespread, according to the Kentucky Department of Public Health. The flu season can begin as early as October and last through May, and usually peaks between January and March. It takes about two weeks for immunity from the vaccine to develop and offer protection against flu.
