Lexington’s minority business enterprise liaison believes two local construction projects offer new opportunities for area contractors.

Sherika Miller co-chaired Friday’s Lexington Bluegrass Minority Business Expo.  She says the Town Branch Commons project is attracting a lot of attention in the construction industry. “There’s an opportunity there, depending upon the scope of work for minority owned businesses and even women owned businesses as well.  The Lexington convention center renovation project that’s going to be starting soon.  That’s another opportunity for minority-women owned businesses to partake in,” said Miller.

Miller says about 500 people registered for the one day expo including people from surrounding states like Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, and Illinois.
