Designated Eclipse Viewing Spots Selling Quickly in Hopkinsville

City-designated viewing locations in Hopkinsville for the total solar eclipse in August are filling up quickly.

Brooke Jung is the Hopkinsville Solar Eclipse Marketing and Events Consultant. She said in a release the first location at Debrow Park and the second location at Ruff Park are now sold out. Jung said the third location at Tie Breaker Park is fitting 400-500 reservations. The city will announce a fourth location if Tie Breaker Park fills up. The city sells spots on a first-come first-serve basis. Visitors at all city-designated viewing locations will have access to portable restrooms, food vendors, parking lots and their reserved spots for $30. All viewing locations in Hopkinsville are slated to open at 6 a.m. on Monday, August 21st.
