"Equine ER takes place at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, the Mayo Clinic of horse hospitals, located in the Kentucky Bluegrass. I spent a year observing and driving around with a team of iconocolastic vets who perform cutting-edge medicine on their four-footed patients (Think of “Grey’s Anatomy” or “House,” but with horses.) Equine ER is also a window into the James Herriot-like way of life that still exists on Bluegrass horse farms, one largely untouched by time and where doctors still make house calls on their equine patients."

After enjoying delicious food, we'll settle in for an hour of discussion about the story, its characters, the author and more. The Club will be led by members of the WEKU staff, invited guests and, occasionally, by the author of the selected book.
